Classical Conditioning

Classical Conditioning is not just about pairing one thing with another. Sometimes a new thing can become important just because it is linked to something we already have learned about, like how ads famous people make us like a product. I also learned that if two things are connected before any learning happens, one can later cause a reaction because of the other, sensory pre-conditiioning. If one group stands out more than the other, we usually only learn that one. And if we already know something, it is harder to learn something new about it. These ideas help explain how we learn around us. My references are from the chapter slides.
